Why Should I Use Communident?
It seems like since dental marketing was invented, every marketing guru with a voice has said to send a practice newsletter. The constant contact with your patients is an invaluable resource when it comes to building your referrals, retaining your patients, and getting more treatment accepted.
Print newsletters were good, and then email came along, and now everywhere there seems to be a different type of newsletter for each practice…
But which type of newsletter is the best?
Why not all of them. Your patients like their information in different ways. Take the news for example, while Mary watches TV, Tom prefers to listen to the radio, while Jack likes to read the newspaper, and Frank goes on the internet.
The same goes for a practice newsletter, people like their information in different ways. In fact, here’s a graph (on the right) of the survey results when people were asked how they like to receive a newsletter:
As you can see, while a majority of people enjoy the print newsletter, it still only covers 1/3 of your patient base.
And, 21% of people like your email newsletter, but that leaves almost 80% untouched?
Wouldn’t it be great to have a system that allows you to communicate to all of those with email addresses, and yet still get a newsletter to those who like to read the print version?

Well, that’s exactly why the Communident Dental Marketing System was created, to spread your message and communicate with ALL your patients, and help you grow your practice with more quality referrals.
You could be doing this yourself, but so many companies do either an email, or a print newsletter, and they all think the other one is ridiculous.
The Communident system brings it all into one place, which provides a distinct advantage over all the other systems out there…
It helps you build a congruent brand.
Using separate companies to do your internal marketing can be very confusing to your patients, each different company putting their own “spin” on what they think your message should be.
But not Communident, it provides a congruent message, no matter if it’s an email newsletter, a online newsletter, or a print version… your brand, your message, your patients.
And unlike some other dental marketing programs, Communident is created to be literally hands-free.
You can be involved as much, or as little as you want.
We do all the design, provide all the content (although you are free to add your own), and manage your email, and standard address list. All you need to do is sit back and treat the patients.
Let’s face it, how many times have you tried to write a newsletter, and just kept putting it off until all of the sudden it’s a month later, and your patients haven’t heard from you. Don’t feel bad, it happens to all business owners… but it’s not a great business practice.
You’re so busy managing staff, treating patients, paying bills, and attending continuing education classes, it’s amazing you even have free time to yourself, let alone writing 4 or 5 articles for a patient newsletter.
We create content, make design changes, and publish the content (in 3 formats), using almost a decade of real dental practice marketing experience to make sure your patients get your message.
And don’t worry, this system is backed by real people. You can call us at 1-800-311-1390 and talk to a REAL person about your article choices, your design changes, or your mailing schedules.
I know it may sound complicated, but the fact is, you now have one place that can provide your patient newsletter (in 3 formats) to help you grow your practice, get more referrals, educate your patients about your services, raise your treatment acceptance rates, and lock your patients in for life! This is true dental patient community building.
What Does The Communident System Consist Of?
The main component of the Communident system is the content. Not having time to write content is by far what keeps 90% of practices from producing a practice-building newsletter.
We create and provide different dental health focused content each month. This is written in everyday terms to provide your patients the benefits of dental health and the benefits of being your patient.

This content is timely, newsworthy, and written in a way to get your patients interested in their health, and your practice.
This content becomes the basis of the three formats of the Communident System.
The first format is the eNewsletter, or email newsletter. Like the name implies, this is a graphically based email that is delivered to those patients that you have collected email addresses for.
It is branded with your logo, practice colors, and pictures of your practice and staff to make it a very personal marketing method. We don;t add any silly advertisements either.
We’re trying to build you as an expert, and want to focus on selling your services.
The second format of the Communident system is the Newsletter Website.
This is a standalone website where all of your articles, past and present are located.
It is search engine enhanced so that people can find the content via Google search. Also, your new articles are added systematically. Search engines love new content, so posting one article per week, rather than all at the same time is a bonus. Don’t worry, we take care of all this for you.
The Newsletter Website creates a valuable educational resource for your patients. It is also branded with your logo, pictures, and colors to create a more personal online newsletter, not one of those computer generated generic newsletters.
This Newsletter Website can also integrate with your favorite social networking site. It can (at your option) automatically make the articles accessible to your friends on Twitter, Facebook, etc…
We’ll also provide you with a personal login, so you can post anything you want. Add pictures or practice news… before and after pics, or anything else you would like. It’s all part of the Newsletter Website provided with Communident.
The third format in the Communident System is the Printed Direct Mail Newsletter.
Although it costs a little bit extra, the print newsletter is a valuable resource to make sure your message gets to all your patients.
It allows you to communicate with those dental patients that haven’t (or don’t want to) given you their email.
It also increases the value your patients see in your practice. People place more value in a printed piece because it takes time to produce it. (They don’t know we did it for you.)
Once again, this is customized with your logo, colors, and pictures to make this a truly personal dental practice newsletter.
That’s the Communident way.
How Does The Communident System Work?

Once you are accepted into the program, you’ll be put on our special client list.
On or about the 15th of each month, you’ll receive (by email or fax) 4-6 dental health related articles for next months newsletter.
If you like what you see, just tell us, and you’ll be done with your newsletter for the month.
If you see any changes that you would like, or want to write your own articles, you can make those changes and send them back to us. We’ll even write an article for you, or you can request an article from our article library.
Once you give us a final OK (we’ll never send content without your final once over), we’ll start putting the content into the three formats of the Communident system.
The content will be put into the email newsletter, which will be sent on the first of each month.

Then, we will file the articles to be added that month to your Newsletter Website. We add these over time (about 1 per week) so that the search engines find relevant new content when they come to visit.
If you are scheduled for a print newsletter mailing that month, we will put together a proof with the approved articles, and a couple of extras and send it to you. Once you approve it, this will also be mailed as close to the first of the month as follows.
It’s that easy, you should take no more than about 15 minutes each month to get your Communident program content approved.
The only other piece is your patient list. We keep it here on a secure hard drive, but you can make changes anytime you wish. Simply tell us if you want someone added, deleted, or changed, we’ll keep it up to date. To comply with email marketing regulations, we also handle all of those that request to be deleted from your email list.
The key is to make it a simple as possible for you, while communicating with your patients to create more referrals, and keep them in your practice.
How Much Does The Communident System Cost?
Well, this is always a big question, and it keeps some dentists from ever marketing to their current patients.
With the Communident program, you will be communicating with all of your patients, building referrals, educating them about your services, getting better treatment acceptance rates, and building a community of people that will never leave your practice.
You could spend hours on your own putting together just one of the formats Communident provides. The truth is, you should be treating patients and completing treatment rather than writing and marketing… that’s what we’re here for.
There is a $495 setup fee for each account and it includes the following:
- Branding and setup of the Email Newsletter
- Branding and setup of the Newsletter Website
- Branding and setup of the Print Newsletter
- Initial entry of your patient address and email into our system.
For the actual Communident system including the Branded Email Newsletter, The Newsletter Website, and all content provided the price is
$395 per month.
That’s truly a bargain when you realize that one new patient a month will easily pay for this program. And, one patient that completes a previously undone treatment plan could easily pay for the whole year of internal marketing.
You may also be thinking that their are other programs that will let you send an email newsletter for free… well, you’re right, but they’ll throw a bunch of ads in the email, and make you write your own content… oh, and if you need help, try finding the number to a real person.
You also noticed the above price didn’t include the print newsletter. Due to the print, processing, and postage cost, as well as the variable schedule of printed newsletters there is an extra charge of $1.49 each for those. We’ll discus your frequency when you get started, but this is also a bargain when you realize that we charge up to $2.99 each to do this same newsletter a la carte.
We just want to make sure you communicate with all your patients on a consistent schedule.
